You want to combine your passion for numbers with theory and data.
Faculty are researching topics including numerical analysis, high performance computing, probability distributions in reliability and risk, Gaussian processes and fields, mathematical biology and neuroscience.
What You'll Learn as a Statistics Minor
In our Applied Statistics minor program, you will take 32 credit hours in calculus, probability and statistics, simulation, quality assurance, reliability and maintainability, Lean Six Sigma, experiment design and sampling theory.
You will study modern statistical methods related to the acquisition, organization, analysis and interpretation of data.
All of this allows you to hone your skills and learn how to turn them into high-demand jobs, such as in business or data analysis, research, statistical programming, quality assurance or machine learning.
